Hartford, CT – The National Association of Public Affairs Networks launched its redesigned website today, adding a polished and functional new look to the organization’s online forum and library for public affairs networks nationwide.
“NAPAN has had great success in recent years advancing its core goals of supporting development and raising awareness of noncommercial state public affairs networks throughout the U.S. It was crucial that our web presence reflect that momentum,” according to association president Paul Giguere. “The new NAPAN.net will provide more in-depth information on the best practices and accomplishments of state networks available while evoking the energy and promise of NAPAN’s vision of ’50 States, 50 Networks.’”
The redesigned site features news updates from public affairs networks across the country and information about member networks. The NAPAN Knowledge Base, including best practices and white papers on many technical, programming and administrative aspects of public affairs network management and operations, is continuing development and is scheduled to be launched in the second quarter of 2008.
The National Association of Public Affairs Networks was founded in 2003 to raise national awareness of state public affairs programming, share best practices and provide guidance and support to new networks. Its membership includes leading public affairs networks in Washington, Florida, Connecticut, Michigan, Wisconsin, Hawaii, Arizona and other states across the country.
